About Us
On December 26, 1817 the county of Perry was
formed from Fairfield, Washington, and Muskingum Counties. The
naming of Perry County derived from the victorious naval
commander Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry, who became a famous
American War Hero after defeating the British in a naval battle
in 1813.
Our institution derives its name from that
famous American war hero, Commodore Perry. The tall ship you see
in the bank’s logo is a rendering of the US Brig Niagara, which
Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry sailed, fought, and defeated the
British with on Lake Erie in 1813. We feel that the rendering of
the Brig Niagara will be a great image that will reflect the
history, strength, service, tradition and pride of COMMODORE
BANK.
Since 1928, Commodore Bank has been serving
the residents and business of a four county area with
headquarters in Somerset, Ohio. With offices in
Millersport, Somerset, and soon Hebron, Commodore Bank
strives to continue its foundation of having great Hometown
Community Spirit and Hometown Community Pride. |
